Before coming to the Victorian Bar, David was a senior investigator at the Victorian Ombudsman and NSW Ombudsman. His high-profile investigations included Operation Prospect (NSW), the Labor “redshirts” matter, public interest disclosures concerning local Councils and a joint investigation with the Independent Broad-Based Anti-Corruption Commission. He has extensive experience in government investigation and inquiries. David also holds a ‘Negative Vetting’ security clearance (NV1) from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.

David holds a Juris Doctor (Master of Laws) from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Criminology from the University of Melbourne.

David is reading with Justin Wheelahan and his senior mentor is Peter Rozen QC.
