Greg has an established practice in criminal law (particularly in appellate and quasi-criminal law), public and administrative law (including regulatory and sports law), and commercial law.
He is an experienced advocate who appears regularly, both unled and led, in all Victorian and federal courts and tribunals. He has also appeared several times in the High Court of Australia. Greg routinely provides advice on diverse, complex and novel legal issues.
Greg welcomes briefs from government, regulatory bodies and private individuals and corporations.
Criminal and quasi-criminal law
Greg practices in all areas of criminal and quasi-criminal law. He has a particular expertise working in appeals, judicial review proceedings and other matters involving complex legal issues. He also has developed extensive experience appearing in cases involving white collar crimes, mental impairment and human rights issues.
Public, administrative and regulatory law
Greg’s experience in public and administrative law matters spans a broad range of subject areas including: professional discipline; licensing; tenancy; health and disability; guardianship; discrimination; social security; and freedom of information.
He has a particular interest in human rights matters, as well as regulatory and sports law.

General information
Before coming to the Bar, Greg was Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Chris Maxwell AC, President of the Victorian Court of Appeal. He was also a Senior Solicitor in the Civil Justice Directorate at Victoria Legal Aid.
Greg read with the Honourable Justice Graeme Hill and his senior mentor was the Honourable Justice Claire Harris.
