James is a criminal defence barrister. He is an accredited Criminal Law Specialist with the Law Institute of Victoria, as well as a graduate of the Deryl Dantzler Trial Practice Institute in the USA.
James is interested in all areas of criminal law, and has appeared as sole counsel in:
- Contested hearings and committals in the Magistrates’ Court;
- Appeals and pleas in the County Court; and
- Bail applications in the Supreme Court
Before coming to the Bar, James was a senior lawyer at a specialised criminal law firm in Melbourne.
