Ken Cheng

Prior to coming to the Bar, he was with Pentana Stanton Lawyers and volunteered at the Victorian Legal Aid. His past experience afforded him expertise in a diverse range of practice areas. Those include: criminal matters in the summary and indictable jurisdiction; commercial litigation involving contractual and franchising disputes; and employment matters such as underpayments, workplace discrimination, and instructing in the Fair Work Commission.

Ken has an international perspective in his legal practice. He is particularly experienced in working with Chinese-speaking clients. He is fluent in written and oral Chinese – Mandarin and Hokkien. He had also undertaken a litigation internship in the United States with Campbell, Rogers and Hill.

Before embarking on his legal career, Ken attended Melbourne Veterinary School and was a registered Veterinarian.

Outside of law, Ken enjoys recording jazz guitar, fiction writing and boxing.

Ken read with Alan Hands, and his senior mentor is Ian Upjohn CSC QC.

法院诉讼的输赢，取决于法官或陪审团是否了解与理解当事人的陈述。因郑律师精通流利的中文，加上他的华人背景，能深深的理解诉讼当事人的状况，并提出最有说服力的论述，这也是郑律师最特殊的专长。郑律师也最能替华人客户节省费用。因为维州大多数出庭律师不懂中文，华人客户与出庭律师会面时需要透过翻译，因此华人客户诉讼费用一般超过本地客户甚多(出庭律师是以每小时计费)。郑律师已经帮助许多华人客户成功达成诉讼或和解，并节省很多的诉讼费用。
 
郑律师毕业于澳洲墨尔本大学兽医系和法律系。
