Peter practices in criminal, regulatory and public law matters. He has a particular interest in proceeds of crime and professional disciplinary proceedings.
Prior to coming to the bar, Peter was a solicitor advocate at the Australian Federal Police Criminal Assets Litigation team. In this role, he appeared in the County Court Confiscations List and worked collaboratively with members of the Criminal Assets Confiscation Taskforce, including the ATO, AUSTRAC and the Australian Border Force.
Peter also worked as a solicitor in the Australian Securities & Investments Commission’s financial services enforcement team, where he managed investigations and civil penalty proceedings involving allegations of misleading, unconscionable, and dishonest conduct.
He previously served as an Associate to His Honour Judge Tiwana of the County Court of Victoria (Criminal Division).
Peter holds a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice, a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance), and a Diploma of Languages (French) from Flinders University. He is currently completing a Master of Laws at the University of Melbourne.
Peter is reading with Morgan Brown and his senior mentor is Christopher Carr SC. He is a member of both the Criminal Bar Association and the Commercial Bar Association.
