Tim joins the Bar with an extensive legal career, having practised law in Victoria, South Australia, and England & Wales since his admission in 2007.
Tim has advocated for clients in the Magistrates’ Court, County Court, Supreme Court and VCAT. His effective advocacy style and technical skill have assisted in achieving positive outcomes for both government and individual clients.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Tim worked for five years as a Principal Solicitor at the Child Protection Litigation Office advising on cases in the Children’s Court, Supreme Court and VCAT. As a lawyer within the Department of Health and Human Services’ Legal Services Branch Tim advised on a range of government prosecutions, administrative decision reviews and privacy matters. For over a decade Tim practised criminal defence in London and Adelaide, advising clients on all stages of complex criminal proceedings.
He currently accepts briefs in relation to administrative & public law, decision review, IVO appearances, Children’s Court proceedings and crime & quasi crime proceedings.
Tim is renowned for his collegiate nature and measured advocacy style.
Tim is reading with Darren Bruno and his senior mentor is Karen Argiropoulos SC.
