Mr Carr’s professional experience includes 15 years as a consulting engineer and over 25 years as a solicitor and barrister.

Between 1980 and 1994 he worked as a geotechnical engineer with an international consulting firm, in the mining, natural gas, land development and construction industries. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.

In 1996 he completed his articles at Clayton Utz, Melbourne, and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria as a barrister in November 2001. 

He is often appointed as an expert in the Expert Determination of commercial disputes, as well as acting as an advocate in litigation matters.
