David’s practice predominantly comprises wills and estates, elder law, general commercial law, and civil litigation. His elder law experience includes acting as junior counsel for various Commonwealth Government agencies at the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety (Adelaide public hearings).

Since 2016 David has been recognised by Doyles Guide as junior counsel in estates litigation as either recommended or pre-eminent and, in 2021, the market leader.

David holds an Honours Degree in Law and a Master of Laws (Applied Law) majoring in Wills & Estates, and is a member of:

  • The SA Law Society’s Succession and Elder Law Committee; and
  • The Society of Trusts & Estate Practitioners (STEP).

David also has a particular interest in defamation matters, stemming from his days as newspaper journalist and sub-editor.

David’s other recognitions, memberships and accomplishments include:
