John’s advisory and paperwork practice is complemented by his forensic and evidentiary skills, developed through his experience as a trial advocate, acting in insurance trials for some of Australia’s largest publicly listed insurers. John is therefore both a meticulous and dynamic trial advocate.
Prior to his call to the Bar, John worked in insurance and employment law. He also enjoys sharing expertise and contributing to professional development. He has presented various seminars on topics such as cryptocurrency and digital assets on death, issues in estates law, and trust deeds.
John graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts (History) and a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours). He read with David Sanders and his senior mentor was Ian Upjohn CSC KC.
