Veronika accepts briefs in all criminal matters and appears in all jurisdictions.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Veronika worked as a solicitor advocate in criminal law in private practice at Doogue & O’Brien (now Doogue + George) and Slater and Gordon.

She also worked as a solicitor advocate at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (ATSILS) in remote north-west Queensland. During her time at ATSILS, Veronika had carriage of all indictable matters in the District and Supreme Courts.

Veronika is actively dedicated to pro bono work and community engagement. She has volunteered extensively, including at the Fitzroy Legal Service and with local charities.

Veronika read in Crockett Chambers with Richard Edney. Her senior mentor is Julian McMahon SC.

She is on Victoria Legal Aid’s Preferred Barrister List and holds her Indictable Crime Certificate. She has appeared in all jurisdictions, including the High Court.

Veronika does not accept direct access briefs.
