Elliott practises primarily in criminal, quasi-criminal, and public law. He accepts briefs in all criminal offences, professional disciplinary proceedings, regulatory matters, inquests, and inquiries.

Elliott accepts briefs to appear in all metropolitan and regional locations. He regularly appears in contested hearings, contested committals, pleas, and appeals to the County Court. He has a particular interest in fraud, financial crime, and regulatory matters following his previous career in the financial advice sector.

Immediately prior to joining the Bar, Elliott was Associate to her Honour Judge Ellis and his Honour Judge Holding of the County Court of Victoria. 

Elliott has experience working as a criminal defence solicitor in a private firm where he appeared in criminal and intervention order matters. Elliott also previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Office of Public Prosecutions where he conducted complex research tasks in criminal law and procedure.

Elliott teaches at RMIT University as part of the Juris Doctor program.

Elliott read with David Cronin and his Senior Mentor is Patrick Doyle SC.
