Elliott practises primarily in criminal law, including regulatory and quasi-criminal matters. He is available to appear in all metropolitan and regional courts.

Prior to joining the Bar, Elliott was Associate to her Honour Judge Ellis and his Honour Judge Holding of the County Court of Victoria. Elliott gained extensive experience across a broad range of criminal matters including pleas, de novo appeals, bail applications, and jury trials. He conducted high-level legal research and has a particular interest in evidence law.

Elliott has experience working as a solicitor in a private criminal defence firm where he appeared in criminal and intervention order matters. Elliott also previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Office of Public Prosecutions where he conducted complex research tasks in criminal law and procedure. This included a substantial body of work surrounding the unique issues in the prosecution of historical sexual offences.

Elliott has a particular interest in fraud, financial crime, and regulatory matters following his previous career in the financial advice sector.

Elliott is reading with David Cronin and his Senior Mentor is Patrick Doyle SC.
