Applications for the March 2026 Bar Readers’ Course are open

09 December 2025

We are now welcoming applications from new readers who have been accepted into the March 2026 Victorian Bar Readers’ Course intake.

We are a modern and progressive List committed to fostering a strong, supportive and commercially focused practice for our members. Our approach combines high professional standards with a genuine emphasis on engagement and collaboration within the profession.

We aim to create an environment where junior barristers are encouraged to build sustainable practices, develop their individual profiles and contribute meaningfully to the broader Bar community.

We understand that the transition to practice at the Bar is both exciting and demanding. Through active clerking support, practice development and a collegiate culture, we aim to provide readers with the foundations to establish and grow their practices.

If you are joining the March 2026 intake and would like to learn more about becoming part of Chapman’s List, we encourage you to contact Chris Chapman at chapmanslist@vicbar.com.au.
